Despite our unworthiness, God has blessed us with more than we could ever ask or think. Since God has so abundantly blessed us with more than we could ever ask or think, it is right and good for us to turn to Him in prayer to thank Him for being so generous to us who are so undeserving of His great mercy.

When we count our blessings and thank God for them daily, we will be uplifted and tend less to wallow in self-pity or jealousy of others, but will instead live happy and grateful lives in full knowledge of how blessed we are.
