Probably one of the most important reasons for us to do anything in life is simply because God has asked us to do that. We may not understand why He wants us to do something sometimes, but we can know that whenever God does ask us to do something, it is for very good reasons. And God has asked us to pray.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Together with this command, He has promised us a rich reward if we do - the reward of peace in a world of uncertainty and worry. Why don’t you commit yourself today to obey God’s loving instruction, and spend some time with Him in prayer?
