God is very concerned about His work on earth. There are so many people languishing without the knowledge of His great love and sacrifice on their behalf. Workers are needed to go forth and proclaim the wonderful news of salvation for all who want it.

He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Luke 10:2 (NIV)

Jesus asks us to pray for this all-important work. First, to remind ourselves of the great need as we pray, and second, to strengthen those who are already in the field, working for the harvest.
